Late COAS I.Attahiru


The Nigerian Army has announced the passing away of its Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, who was killed along with his ADC Major L. Hayat other senior military officers including Brig Gen Tunji Olayinka, after the military aircraft (B-KA-350) they were travelling in crashed while landing in Kaduna.

The army leadership were enroute Kaduna from Abuja on Friday, 21 May, 2021 when the unfortunate incident happened. 


Though the aircraft is rumoured to be one of four said to have been grounded in 2014 and later reactivated, the army has attributed the crash to bad weather



This sad occurrence is coming barely 3months after a team of fine Airforce Officers were killed in the line of duty in a separate crash.

Area G Police Station, Ogba, Lagos.


Shops closed, residents scamper for safety as Police clash with okada riders at Ogba.


News have it that police had shot and killed an okada rider yesterday which led to a protest this morning as the okada men were seen marching towards Area G at about 9am.


The okada riders were reported to have been mobilising weapons and gathering in large numbers when police chased them all the way towards Oke-Ira. Shooting heavily and targeting them along Ajayi road.



They were seen in over 8 police trucks fully loaded with bikes and arrested okada riders as the police makes their way back to their station.



At about past 11 am normalcy had returned to Ogba and people have started returning to their businesses.
