Lagos is a full-fledged city with everything in-store. Whether you are on the Island, Mainland or Inland part of Lagos there are unlimited fun spots for you this season. Incase you are wondering where to go or how to enjoy the holiday season alone, with friends or family, this is for you!

As enjoyment minister, I love holidays and I just love to have fun. Whatever your personality type, interest or the size of your pocket, there’s something for you here:

Too Much Money Gang

Seaside bars and hotels are your best bet. They are scattered all over Ikoyi and Lekki. Sailor’s lounge, Ember creek etc. Looking for beautiful environment, nice cocktail, lovely cuisine, excellent service plus side attraction “to sha prapra”? Try Xovar lounge at Lekki, wo! Them plenty If you’re looking to go out of Lagos and wondering where to catch the fun this season, Calabar Carnival is calling you.

Family/Group Parole

Beach hangouts are great for group fun. You can take a boat ride to a private beach this season. With as low as 150k upto 10 people can explore this groove (If you want to organise this and don’t know how, holl @ your gal). You can also go to open beaches like Elegushi or try out some lovely resorts around Lekki/Ibeju like Omuresort, Atican Beach Resort, Whispering Palms etc.

Group movie can be very fun and intersting you might want to hit the cinema this season. Almost all the big malls in Lagos have cinemas. There’s Ozone, Genesis, Silverbird, filmhouse etc. Wherever you are in Lagos, there’s a cinema near you.

There are lots of shopping malls in Lagos their prices are highly competitive, plenty discounts and window shopping is free! There are public and private parks scattered all around town too so you have no excuse to dull your goons. Go out, look around, relax and have fun with you friends and family.

Bookworm/ Solo Mode

You may want to read your way into the new year. There are a couple of good bookshops and libraries in town. If you are on the Mainland, Ojuelegba’s got you. There are lots of bookshop at Ojuelegba. You can find almost any book at Laterna bookshop at Victoria Island and the good thing is, you can order online too. There is a Library with free wifi on Herbert Marculay Way, Yaba, check it out!

You can also see live stage plays at Terra Culture.

Movies are great for solo modes too. You can either hit the cinema or spend time with iRoko TV, Netflix etc. Na you go tire!

Lagos is home of entertainment and Lagosians don’t dull at all. Liveband is great entertainment. You get to wine, dine and dance to a variety of good music. Lagos has so many fun bars. There is Kingsize and Umbrellas along Oregun-Ojota road, Bestab at Alausa, Afrika Shrine at Agidingbi, Excellence hotel at Ogba, Yplus at Oke-Ira to mention a few.
There are countless bars along Adeniyi Jones, Allen Avenue, Opebi, Oba Akran and inside G.R.A for those around Ikeja. Magodo’s got good spots along CMD road too. Try Esporta or Paradox. If you are around Ketu try Qbar, Arouund Egbeda try The Dems Park or Zukada. De Santos Hotel Akowonjo has a lovely band that plays on Saturdays and Karaoke on Sunday evenings. There are just so many groove spots in Festac, Apapa, Ajegunle, Lekki, Ajah, Ikoyi, all over Lagos you cannot run out of options. Again, there are plenty music and comedy shows in town this season if you need company just holla @ your gal, I got you! Low Budget/ Low-key

Its holiday season and a lot of friends and families would be home. Start with your neighbours. If you are like me who has never been to my neighbour’s house or seen the back of my building in the last three years, this maybe a good time to break that jinx. Set one day aside this season, take a tour around your house, visit your neighbours atleast for few minutes and ask how they are doing.

Visit friends and family members whom you haven't seen in a while. Try to get them something no matter how little, fruits, hampers etc.
Visits cost close to nothing but it affords you the opportunity to bond with others. Its great for families. You kids can get to see their cousins etc and it leaves lasting memories. If you need hampers sha let me know *winks*

Home Chillers Association

This is a great time for family bonding. Work, school and daily hassles hardly allow us enough time with the family. Spend more time at home this season and create indoor fun with your family. You can play indoor games (ludo, Cashflow, monopoly, video games, and even invite your friends over to join you. If you can afford to have a mini-party, go for it! Its festive season afterall…just roll with the fun!

If you're declaring shaks sha call me o!

Charity Something

You can join other people who are impacting lives this season. There are a number of groups on social media sharing freebies and doing charity work of all sort.

It’s a season to share so, go out and spread the love. Visit people in prison, hospitals, Orphanages, police stations etc. show them love, they need it! Don’t eat your READ MORE HERE
