Double Celebration at Alausa Passport Office as 2 ACIs Retire

Alausa Passport office organised a Send-forth Party for two of its officers, Assistant Comptroller of Immigration (ACI) Rasak Adebayo Akorede and Assistant Comptroller of Immigration (ACI) Jerry Babalola as they sign out of active service after long years of service.

Officers, friends and well wishers including representatives from the Lagos State Government, National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) joined the occasion to celebrate them for their outstanding performance and selfless service over the years.

Speaking at the occasion, the Passport Control Officer (PCO), Alausa Passport Office, DCI John Dashe in his farewell message, described the retiring ACIs as selfless and disciplined Officers. He commended them for their dedication to duty and encouraged them to remain the good men that they are as he wishes them better days ahead. In his speech, he said that "retirement is not the end of life but the beginning of another life, which could turn out even better than their days in active service" as he encouraged them to embrace this new phase of life with positivity.

It was an evening of fun and merriment as friends and colleagues took turns to shower love, accolades and eulogies on the retiring ACIs, describing them as loving, cheerful, hardworking, dedicated and jovial Officers. 

Comptroller of Customs and wife of one of the retirees, Mrs. Babalola who gave thanks to the almighty for bringing her husband thus far, expressed appreciation to Alausa Passport Office and the Nigeria Immigration Service for the support and honour given to her husband. She specially thanked the PCO for keeping up with the good works of the Comptroller General of Immigration, Muhammed Babandede and for a befitting Send-forth Party.

The NIS has witnessed tremendous reforms under the leadership of the current CG Muhammed Babandede and it transcends across all its offices and stations across the nation and world over.

In recent times, there has been alot of retirements, promotions and redeployment at the NIS, all for service improvement and greater good.  They have served the nation well and we wish them good success in their future endeavours.
