Iceland showcased world class defence against struggling Argentina to end the first leg of Group D clash in a 1-1 draw.
Lionel Messi missed a penalty which could have given his team a lead at 62' min. Argentina clearly struggled as the missed all chances (free kicks and corners) to win the match against Iceland who put up a fierce defence against all attacks from their opponent.
Iceland goalkeeper who is also a film director, Hannes Halldorsson put in an impressive performance at the goal post to grab a point for his team.
Iceland and Argentina have one point each.
