"Having political power and people within the corridors of power is not evidence of good living rather achievements in terms of quality of place and people is what counts"
I personally do not like bragging, but Umuokeh seem to have forgotten who's boss and I cannot fail to be proud of my hamlet, Umulogho.

Umulogho maybe one of the smallest communities in obowu LGA, but one of the biggest in quality terms.

Umulogho has not produced House members at state or Federal level before yet the only communities that can match Umulogho are Ikennanzizi(Amuzi and Alike). Still, there are lots of things in Umulogho that Ikenanzizi and other communities in obowo can not step up to.

Umulogho has a sister/sibling known as Umuokeh, umuokeh now has House members, yet otu awughi n'ezi! (nothing to show for it).

A community of firsts! As small as it is, Umulogho can boast of having amenities that several surrounding communities (despite holding onto political powers) can only dream of. I will have my Umuokeh friends understand that "having political power and people within the corridors of power is not evidence of good living rather achievements in terms of quality of place and people is what counts". Permit me to count a few blessings by their names...

  • Four nursery schools.
  • Six primary schools.
  • Three secondary schools (including OKESCO).
  • Two almost standard football fields.
  • One tertiary institution.
  • One funtional Power Holding Company (NEPA) office.
  • One functional morgue
  • One General Hospital
  • One LGA police station.
  • One NNPC petrol station.
  • Two functional petrol stations.
  • Four functional hospitals.
  • Four functional hotels.
  • One serious cum active daily market. Five functional transformers for the (5) kindreds in Umulogho.
  • 95% roads in Umulogho are tarred.
  • Umulogho is home to the largest family in Obowo (35 wives, 108 children, over 400 grand children and uncountable great grand children). The Nwankwo's Royal dynasty.
  • The First community to be electrified in obowo.
  • 2nd dedicated Catholic church in okigwe zone(after Alike)
  • Home to the first post office in Obowo
  • Functional Health centre.
  • Best Gynaecologist in Obowo
  • Four academic professors and countless Ph.D holders.
  • Several religious leaders (Catholics and non-Catholics).

Umulogho has all of the above and several countless other qualities over other communities in Obowo including Umuokeh.

Ole naa?

Despite being declared autonomous Parish same day with Umulogho Parish Umuokeh is yet to complete her parish building. Umulogho politically facilitated the moving of police station to AforUumuokeh, which they could not sustain for a year.

After grabbing the politically elected and appointed position in the state and Federal governments, the eleven  (11) villages of Umuokeh still have several untarred roads except  for the ones leading to Hon. Chike's house and another of his partner's house. Dilapidated basic social amenities still litter Umuokeh community.

Biko nu, ndi ochichi umuokeh, unu ruo ra obodo unu oru (Political leaders and power brokers of umuokeh, try and develop your community umuokeh)and stop paying graduates stipends as domestic aids (P.As) on irrelevant matters.
