Defend Yourselves, Protect your territory -Gen. T.Y Danjuma

Speaking at the maiden convocation ceremony of Taraba State University, Gen. TY Danjuma accused the armed forces of colluding with armed bandits to wreck havoc across the country.
In the light of recent attacks on various communities across the country, Gen. T.Y Danjuma has urged Nigerians to not rely on the armed forces but protect themselves and defend their country. In his words, with the rate of ethnic cleasing going on in the country "Somalia would be child's play" if Nigerians do not wake up to the responsibility of defending their country as he announced that "the armed forces are not neutral, they facilitate their movement, they cover them. If you are depending on the armed forces, you will all die one by one".
These words coming from Gen T.Y Danjuma, an army veteran, a key power broker and astute politician, should Nigerians be worried?
