Suspended Sen.Omo-Agege Invades NASS With Thugs And Made Away With The Mace

Drama, chaos played out inside the senate chamber of the national assembly during today’s plenary session when suspended Senator representing Delta Central, Sen Ovie Omo-Agege stormed the senate with hoodlums and successfully made away with the symbol of authority in the upper chamber.

The hoodlums numbering about 10 beat the security detail at the NASS to penetrate the upper chamber and made away with the mace unchallenged while the Deputy Senate President was presiding. The Senate President Sen. Bukola Sakari and many other senators were absent today as it happened.

The Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ekwerenmadu has given security agencies 24hours to retrieve the mace, stating that the senate will not be intimidated.

This recent development is coming after Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege was suspended for 90 legislative days by the leadership of the Upper Legislative Chamber for instituting a court action against the senate.

The Senate is currently sitting with a spare mace as news hits town that the airing Senator has been arrested.
