Real Madrid scrapped into the semi-final of the Champions League on Wednesday after Cristiano Ronaldo converted a last-gasp penalty to give Zinedine Zidane’s men a 4-3 aggregate victory over Juventus.

The game had looked certain to enter into extra time after Juventus secured a 3-0 lead at the Santiago Bernabeu after having gone down by the same scoreline in the first leg.
However, the referee awarded a penalty to Real in the 93rd minute after Medhi Benatia pushed Lucas Vazquez down inside the box.
Amid protests by Juventus, the referee complicated matters for the Italian side by sending keeper Buffon off for violent conduct.
