Nigerians took up 33% of all US non-immigrant visas issued to Africans in 2017.

Nigerians are leaving the country to seek greener pastures in better climes especially to places like Canada, USA and the U.K. Despite stiff measures and high rate of rejection at their embassies, these countries have been cleaning out on visa fee in Nigeria.

An interesting insight as share by Feyi Fawehinmi @DoubleEph on twitter shows that Nigerians took up 33% of all US non-immigrant visas issued to Africans in 2017 Broken down by visa type - still 33% of student visa totals for Africa but 37% of visitor visas. Also, interesting to note that number of visas issued has more than doubled since 2012.
